The vitamINN methodology

Turn uncertainty into decisions

It’s not a checklist of acronyms. It’s a methodology that structures the technological and manufacturing uncertainty of an industrial project and translates it into decisions: what’s missing, what to prioritize and when the next step can be taken.

What you gain

Stop estimating maturity by eye

A figure, not a hunch

Technological (TRL) and manufacturing (MRL) maturity is calculated deterministically from the project’s actual work.

Knowing what is missing

Each phase has its living list of evidence. At any moment you can see what’s left to level up.

Prioritising with criteria

The next step stops being a debate: it’s set by the pending work of the gate the project is in.

How it works

Four phases, two scales, gates that decide

TRL and MRL are the measurement scales —one for the technology, one for its manufacturing. Phases can advance in parallel: progress in either raises the project’s maturity.

Phase 1

Concept

TRL 2–4 · MRL 1–3

You define what you want to solve and check that the idea holds up.

Phase 2

Detail

TRL 4–6 · MRL 3–5

Detailed design, prototype and validation in a representative environment.

Phase 3

Industrialization

TRL 6–8 · MRL 5–7

The product gets ready for manufacturing: process, suppliers and costs.

Phase 4

Release

TRL 8–9 · MRL 7–10

Production and launch, with compliance and documentation closed.

Where it is used

The methodology is followed inside a project: it needs its context —plan, risks, documents, maturity— to calculate the gates. You access it from the Project Management module, in the TRL-MRL tracking.

AI proposes, the gates decide

The industrial agent reads the project and suggests each task’s status with its evidence. A person reviews and confirms. The level calculation is deterministic and auditable: it doesn’t depend on the mood of the day.

A living list, not a dead document

Cross-cutting tasks —planning, risks, costs, industrial property and documentation— are reviewed in every phase. The project’s status updates with the work, not with meetings.

What you get

Every project’s maturity, in plain sight

Each project is positioned by technological and manufacturing maturity. With several projects, the portfolio map shows at a glance where each one stands and which needs attention.
